It has a very gentle sweetness, an intense aroma of peaches and a dark red colour. It is made by following a recipe of Leuven from the 17th century.
Earlier, the alcohol degree of wines was artificially increased in order to be able to keep the wine longer. Nowadays, the addition of alcohol to wines still is a general practise. LOVANIA is mouthfilling and sweet. It is surprisingly fresh in the nose and has long and pleasant aftertaste. Serve LOVANIA chilled and add a few ice cubes to it. Not only is LOVANIA an excellent aperitif or dessert wine, it is also used in a large number of recipes.
